Watch as Dave Dunbar of General Pipe Cleaners demonstrates how the upgraded Speedrooter 92 cable drain cleaning machine blends rugged reliability with ease of use.
“We’re making upgrades to our Speedrooters all the time,” Dunbar says. “Speedrooter has been a very successful line of big machines for us.
“It’s our largest selling, big machine. We’re always looking for ways to make it more reliable so that when the contractor goes to use it, it works effectively.”
A redesigned inner drum is molded to surround and contain the Flexitube distributor tube to prevent cable tangling, while still allowing the operator to see how much cable is left in the drum.
Speedrooter 92’s durable field-tested design offers easy handling. One person can easily load it onto a truck. The machine’s frame slides smoothly from the loading wheel to the handle to the stair climbers and finally to the wheels. The height-adjustable, swept-back handle also provides maximum maneuvering leverage. A cord wrap on the handle makes it easier to store the power cord and foot pedal.
With the pulling power for long, tough jobs, General’s Power Cable Feed drives and retracts 3/4-, 5/8- and 1/2-inch cables easily at up to 20 feet per minute. To adjust to different cable sizes, simply adjust the knob on top of the feed. No screwdriver is required.
The large steel drum holds up to 100 feet of 3/4- or 5/8-inch Flexicore cable for clearing 3- to 10-inch drainlines; the small drum carries up to 100 feet of 9/16-inch (Super half-inch) Flexicore cable for clearing 2- to 4-inch lines. The durable design features a braced frame at key stress points, and a heavy-duty 1/2 hp motor with thermal overload protection.
